Calligraphy on Paper

Our handwritten calligraphy is done with a traditional dip pen and ink on paper. This process takes time and is popular for weddings and corporate events and gifts. The pen is dipped into ink and words and names carefully written on the page or envelope to create a beautiful one of a kind piece every time. Calligraphy looks beautiful for wedding vows as well as individually addressed envelopes and place cards. We are happy to fill in certificates and other documents you might need completed. You will notice the beauty of handwritten calligraphy in the small nuances and variations that come from creating a completely custom experience for each work.

Traditional calligraphy on paper is available in several Copperplate script variations, modern script styles, and Italian script variations. We also offer a simpler monoline variation of all of our scripts for those who prefer calligraphy without variation in line.

Calligraphy can be written in traditional black on white or ecru as well as in metallic gold and almost any custom color you might want to match. White and custom colors are available for calligraphy on colored and dark envelopes and papers.

Calligraphy on Surfaces

For those surfaces that do not accept traditional dip pen calligraphy, we offer a paint based calligraphy. Our handwritten calligraphy for unconventional surfaces is done using strong and archival paint materials. Many surfaces can be used for a calligraphy base, including mirrors, glass, agates, marble, notebook covers and more. While not as permanent as engraving, calligraphy can be perfect for signage, mirror charts, events, glass bottles, brand activations and more.

All of our calligraphy is available in several Copperplate script variations, modern script styles, and Italian script variations. For smaller scale text (1 inch or smaller in height) we offer a simpler monoline variation of all of our scripts to allow for ease of legibility. While script calligraphy is our specialty, some block text styles are available upon request.

Generally, for mirrors and reflective surfaces white ink is preferable to maintain legibility, but for certain applications, gold or silver is possible as well. Other colors are available on an as-needed basis and will be discussed based on project details.

Calligraphy Styles

Below you will see the calligraphy styles that I offer currently. You can take a moment to review them and choose a style that fits your event or project.

Note that all styles are available as pointed pen or monoline versions. You can see an example of the Grace style in both versions. Pointed pen calligraphy is created by dipping the pen nib in ink and writing with varying pressure strokes. Monoline calligraphy is written with a pen and creates a smooth line weight.
