With everything that was going on with the coronavirus pandemic and other world events, one couple was determined to have their wedding and make it memorable. Megan and Trevor’s special day was held in December 2020 at the beautiful Casa Marina Key West Resort (A Waldorf Astoria Resort). The event was beautifully styled and detailed with red and gold details.
I am grateful to have worked with such a wonderful couple and family. I did not have a chance to meet the groom, but from what I heard from the bride’s family, he is a wonderful man. I hope them a great deal of happiness in their new life together.
I had the honor of creating the calligraphy mirror signage for Megan and Trevor’s wedding with white and gold details. Megan had a beautiful crest already designed for them and we incorporated elements of that into the different mirrors to create a cohesive unity throughout the event. Flamingoes, turtles, and palm trees throughout!
While most mirror calligraphy is done entirely in white, because the wedding colors were red and gold, we opted to add some gold details to the mirrors to add a little interest and detail. The combination of white and gold made a beautiful combination that allowed each element of these mirrors to shine without competing with each other.
It was a wonderful blessing in a year with so many ups and downs to work on this uplifting and beautiful project for Megan and Trevor. And to create something memorable for their wedding day. All the detail and preparation was definitely worth it!
